Position Summary GENERAL SUMMARY: This engineering leadership position will manage development of future application platforms for Samsclub.com. S/he will be responsible for delivery of projects based on requirements and supporting those applications. This position will be responsible for application architecture, performance, scalability and availability for those applications. S/he will manage a group of 25+ highly talented engineers and managers. Management responsibility includes people management, functional management as well as strategic leadership for a high growth multi channel retail organization.

The primary duties of the intern staff are focused on tasks associated with Department of Defense weapon systems. Specific tasks vary based on educational background and experience. The Manager of Network Engineering (Design) manages the Network Engineers to plan, design, install and maintain the IP network elements that support data, voice and video services.
Primary Responsibilities/Tasks - Essential Functions
- Manage the design and implementation of a data network for residential, commercial and corporate purposes that is highly reliable and cost effective.
- Manage engineering group that monitors and implements growth elements to accommodate new customer demand, new service offerings, and maintains excellent customer service.

- Assist Director of Network Engineering in developing budget by making recommendations and ensuring Network Engineers have provided design packages for all needs and that they include firm budget elements.
- Track HSI budget expenditures and periodically report budget status and needs to Director of Broadband Engineering in times and manner specified by Director of Network Engineering
- Review design and analysis packages forwarded by Network Engineers, and ensure packages meet are technically sound and meet specified criteria.
- Works with Network Operations Supervisor and Network Operations Manager to coordinate Data Engineering activities.
- Establishes and maintains effective communications and professional working relationships with customers, internal personnel, both at system and corporate offices, contractors and other outside contacts, including programmers and members of business community.
